Think like an Italian.
I do so inherently, as I am
completely of Italian
ancestry, though third
generation American.
This translates to my design
preferences for voluptuous
round forms and an abun-
dance of gold and luscious
jewel-tone colors. But it
goes even deeper than this,
as the Italianate tradition
heralds back to the time of
the early Romans. Despite
their unsatiable appetite for
conquest, they nurtured artists
and architects who possessed
deep understanding of how to
evoke a full range of human
emotions through the control
of both the line and the curve.
The columns that still stand so
tall, foster the stability that en-
sures trust & confidence. But if
you look closely, it is the use of
swirling curves in the details of
figures, animals & botanicals
that fosters the well-spring of
passion and emotion that is
uniquely & undeniably Italian.
